Management Accountant

Global utilities company is looking for a qualified management accountant to join their team on a 12 month FTC

Your new company
A global recognised utilities company with multiple sites across the UK is looking for a management accountant to join their finance team in Basildon on a 12 month FTC for maternity cover.

Your new role
The successful applicant will be a true business partner, capable of supporting the operational business at multiple sites across the North East. Critical to success will be spending time on site to understand the business strategy and challenges to ensure financial support is fit for purpose and in line with the wider company strategy. What you will be responsible for include: preparations of management accounts, analysis, forecasting, budgeting, assisting with external and internal audits, balance sheet control.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant or finalist with a recognised awarding body - CIMA, ACA, ACCA essential and have experience of management accounting and influencing decisions within a large complex organisation. This includes close scrutiny of accounts and variance analysis on a regular basis. Having strong systems knowledge (in particular exposure to SAP, Cognos (TM1), Microsoft/Google packages) would be advantageous however training will be given. A full UK driving licence would be ideal, as travel to some of our other sites is expected occasionally.
