Part Time Management Accountant / Bookkeeper
Your new company
You will be working for an established growing organisation who ethos is all about the staff welfare.
Based in offices with its own parking.
Your new role
This role is a really varied and interesting position an over view is below;
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual accounts including depreciation, accruals and prepayments
- Reconcile balance sheet control accounts and nominal ledgers
- Interpret the company's financial results to management and recommend improvement activities
- Report on key business metrics and engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company
- Manage the preparation of the company's budget. Report to management on variances from the established budget and the reasons for those variances
- Stock valuation and analysis
- Process the monthly payroll using SAGE. Keep abreast of HMRC changes.
- Pension Administration and payments
- Process supplier invoices, expense claims and requests for payment. Reconcile supplier statements. Authorise payment runs
- Prepare customer invoicing and allocate remittances
- Reconcile bank statements
- Credit control, undertaking credit checks and changes to credit terms.
- Report regularly on the age and level of debts, identifying trends and problem accounts/customers
- Prepare and process VAT, EC sales and Intrastat returns and any statistical reports
- Prepare Intergroup recharges and reconciliations
- Managing petty cash transactions
- Keep accurate HR administration and maintain staff records. Record holiday and sick absence.
- Collate shop floor hours using clocking system and investigating discrepancies
- Create additional analysis and reports as requested by management
- Support the annual audit
What you'll need to succeed
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable taking the lead
Good organisational skills and ability to work to implement own processes
Able to work independently with remote management support
Experience of using Microsoft software and accountancy packages
