Job Details

The UK Financial Controller has full responsibility for all internal and external financial reporting for for the business and associated companies. They will be an integral part of the Senior Management team, shaping the growth and direction of the organisation.

Description
- Management of the UK Finance Team
- Support to Finance Teams
- Month-end management reporting in line with Group eight working day timetable.
- Monthly stock analysis including calculation of inter-company inventory and values.
- VAT returns
- Statutory reporting and liaison with both Group and local auditors.
- Management of inter-company processes as defined by Group.
- Oversight of rolling monthly stock take programme and provision of physical stock analysis.
- Office of National Statistics returns
- Calculation of standard costs in line with Group methodology.
- Oversight of monthly payroll and submission of Group HR reporting.
- Monthly insight and support to sales team and key product margin analysis to Group.
- Challenge current practices and look for process improvements and cost efficiency's.
- Ad-hoc support and analysis as required by the Operations Manager, projects and Group.
- Support the annual budget process and provide cash and spend forecasts as required.
Profile
Candidates should have a BA or MA degree preferably in Accountancy or Economics and an accounting qualification such as ACCA or CIMA. A minimum of three years in a similar senior management post and experience of working with SAP would be advantageous.
Technical and personal skills include but are not limited to advanced Excel knowledge, good IT skills, good communications skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritise and meet strict deadlines, ability to explain technical detail to non-accountants, confident and motivated people manager and a proactive attitude
