Financial Controller Job Job based in Telford £55,000-£65,000 + 15% bonus, car & benefits

Hays are working with a national business headquartered in Shropshire who have a newly created permanent finance vacancy based in Telford. The business has grown significantly through sustained investment, acquisition and improvement and this latest opportunity will provide a platform for further growth in 2020.

Your new role
Reporting to the Group Finance Director, as Financial Controller you will be the main accountant based in Telford and be responsible for managing a small finance team and working closely with the site management team. You will oversee all financial control and reporting for the Telford site as well as manage a weekly payroll.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a fully qualified accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA and have proven experience operating as a Finance Manager or Controller previously. This business is very fast-paced and you will be required to perform a challenging and varied job to tight deadlines. You should have excellent system skills including Excel and ideally have worked with an ERP finance system such as SAP. We are also actively encouraging applicants available at short-notice to apply as the business ideally require the post holder in position by January 2020 or earlier.
