Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting on behalf of their exclusive Manufacturing client for a permanent Accounts Assistant, salary is £20,000 - £25,000 depending on experience + excellent benefits including 34 days annual leave, highly competitive pension & free parking

Your new role

You will be responsible for providing day to support to the Management Accountant in the processing and reconciling of a wide variety of accounting documents. You will compile and review information for accuracy and maintenance of relevant records. You will complete bank reconciliations, process sales & purchase ledger and assist the credit controller when required. You will post cash book entries, create and post nominal ledger journals & run weekly sales reports. You will assist with Balance sheet reconciliations and provide support where ever required across a busy finance team.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an Accounts Assistant with experience working in a similar role. You will be an excellent team player who is happy to help out in any area. You will have excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Excel. SAP experience would be an advantage but is not essential if you have experience in other financial systems. You will have strong attention to detail & accuracy skills and be able to work calmly under pressure and use your own initiative.
