Interim Assistant Financial Controller Job based in Telford ASAP start

Your new company
Working with one of the world's premier global automotive suppliers at a manufacturing facility on a greenfield site in Telford, specialising in high pressure die-casting automotive components. This business have a temporary finance need for c.3-6 months whilst the business completes a permanent recruitment process.

Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for producing financial statements and support the business by preparing financial analysis to support decision making. Key areas of focus will include monthly management accounts, KPIs as well as period, quarterly and annual financial packs. You will be responsible for sales, material, labour and overhead cost budget and forecast as well as variance analysis. You will look after the internal costing process tracking changes as well as monthly absorption and inventory valuation. You will report on captial expenditure projects as well as review Bill of Materials and routings as well as evaluate continuous improvement projects.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a qualified accountant - CIMA/ACMA/ACCA/ACA or a finalist with previous experience in a manufacturing environment. You should hold a good understanding of cost accounting and any previous experience with SAP would be an advantage. You will be available at short-notice and available to complete an interim 3-6 month contract.
