Interim Finance Manager Job based in Shrewsbury 3 - 6 month contract

I am working with a business headquartered in Shrewsbury who have a job vacancy for an Accountant to join them, initially on a temporary contract c.3-6 months with the potential, if interested of a permanent contract. Alternatively we are looking for an specialist finance contractor who can work with the business to recruit a permanent replacement in the new year. The company have completed some great projects across the UK and worldwide and have a mission to be the partner of choice within their field by creating long-term relationships and growth through innovation and efficiency.

Your new role
In this job you will be part of the UK Management Team which reports to the board and as Finance Manager be the main accountant on site with responsibility for the entire finance function from purchase ledger through to the production of full monthly management accounts and reports whilst managing 1 direct report. The job is varied and you will also work closely with both sales and project departments. Other key responsibilities will include supplier payments & reconciliation, credit control, bank reconciliations, monthly payroll, VAT returns, costing, cashflow and forecasting as well as budgeting and monthly reporting.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a qualified or part-qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or applicants qualified by experience. Initially, you will be available at short-notice for a November 2019 start and will to commit to an initial contract of 3-6 months. We welcome applicants interested in temp-to-perm as well as professional interim only applicants.
