Your new company
Hays are pleased to offer this Exclusive opportunity to work with the Welsh Revenue Authority (WRA) based in Pontypridd. The WRA is the new tax authority for Wales, collecting and managing the first devolved Welsh taxes in 800 years.

Your new role
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will play an important role in the delivery of tax and corporate finance functions, operating as part of the "job family" structure, meaning that all tasks will be learnt and shared across the team with no person having a set role.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to, issuing of invoices; matching of Accounts Payable invoices against Purchase Order receipts; preparation of daily bank reconciliations; timely processing of cash and cheque receipts; preparation of files for payment journal uploads; as well as supporting managers with management of unallocated cash and preparation of VAT returns.

You must be a team player who is adaptable to variations in your work or environment. A flexible attitude and versatility will also be required due to the "job family" structure of the team.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a salary of £24,415 to £28,150 dependent on experience. Benefits include 31 days annual leave plus bank holidays, 2 "privilege" days, flexi-time and a civil service pension scheme, amongst others.
