A well known organistion located close to Trafford Park are recruiting a Head of Payroll on a permanent basis. The key elements of this role are; To manage the Company's payroll operation in respect of both permanent, casual and international staff within the statutory rules, regulations and guidelines. To ensure that all payment deadlines are met in respect of the Company's monthly and weekly payrolls. To lead the entire function, managing a team of 5 direct reports providing technical and managerial support both to the team and to the Financial Controller and Director of Finance whilst providing a key link to the finance team and the wider business. This is a terrific role for an experienced Payroll Manager with demonstrable experience of running multiple complex payrolls with high variance bonus and commission schemes and overseas payees. The organisation is looking for someone who is highly innovative and able to evaluate and identify efficiencies and better ways of working - experience of a new system implementation would also be useful. Key Responsibilities To manage the production of multiple accurate payrolls and ensure payment deadlines are communicated and met. To be responsible for the day to day management of a complex payroll operation To prepare for submission all year-end returns to the Inland Revenue including P14's and P60's, and ensure all staff receive their copy of the P60. To prepare for submission the P11D and P35 reports. To provide reports as necessary on a periodical basis to relevant management within the Group Finance and ensure budgets are monitored and variances are highlighted. To develop, maintain and manage a reporting system that meets the budgeting requirements of management within the Company. Prepare and manage payroll amendment reports and provide forecasts as required. To produce statutory reports to the Inland Revenue and DSS in accordance with regulations This will be a challenging and rewarding role working with a great team in a fascinating organisation - a key employer in the Manchester area.
