Our client is an organization at the heart of finding a solution to the climate change crisis. It is pioneering the way in the development of innovative funding solutions and interfaces with with global stakeholders: governments, investors, banks and large companies. With blue chip funders and trustees, it is itself a rapidly growing, dynamic and international organization which is truly mission focused. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Head of Finance to join the team. This is a key role, at a key time in our clients's growth and development working with the senior team and reporting to the founder CEO. The role is truly broad in remit responsible for overseeing the overall operation of the business strategy, which is fundamental to the next phase of growth and success. The role requires an experienced and effective individual with a balance of strategic, operational, management and financial expertise. Key Deliverables include: Providing strong and effective strategic leadership of the Finance and wider support team Developing business systems, technologies and workflows to upgrade processes Provision of deep analysis, data and business insight Overseeing the preparation and communication of financial/operational management information Managing the process of annual external audits Organisational - wide proactive budget preparation and management Overall responsibility for working capital management (cashflow forecasting, debtor management, etc) Working closely with Fundraising & Partnerships, identify commercial opportunities and driving revenue increases Responsible for statutory reporting and compliance Qualifications and Experience Candidates will be qualified accountants with previous experience at a senior level in finance , most likely from a fast growth, multisite, international organization .They will display a mix of both strategic and hands on capabilities and enjoy operating across levels and disciplines as is required in an agile, dynamic environment. They should be adept at manipulating complex financial, planning and budgeting information to ensure that if provides a useful and practical basis for business decision making and display proficiency in MS Office and various business software (Salesforce CRM, Xero). They should be able to demonstrate previous experience of managing IT/process/controls upgrades and have well defined problem solving capabilities. Whilst an understanding of the Not for Profit sector and a familiarity with financial markets would be useful, they are not pre requisites for this role.
