Role The role supports Ulster Retail Banking on aspects of Credit Risk quantification and management. Key focus areas are analytical support for development, review and revision of credit policies in relation to customer acquisition and account management, Risk Reporting, proactive portfolio management and problem debt analysis.The individual is expected to perform relevant analysis to known business problems and present findings to management for an assigned business area within retail banking. What The Business Does Risk Analytics and Models, as part of a team extension model, supports the global teams and is responsible for annual reviews and redevelopment of the credit models and operational scorecards, support for data aligned to risk analytics activities including loss data reconciliation and model performance assessment using statistical techniques. Your Responsibilities Articulate problem statement and perform relevant analysis, draw insights and propose recommendations to business problems/projects Run investigations and reporting of key metrics movements to management within an assigned business area Presents findings in an easy to understand/implementable format Create project/process documentation to ensure quality and controls compliance and communicate with peers and executives Build required validation/reconciliation checks and challenge accuracy of numbers Conduct Portfolio Deepdives, scorecard reviews, propose strategy changes to Products Support Credit Risk Data regulatory inspections data/reports/template request Interactions with counterparts in other geographies, hence less than a 100 PERCENT overlap in work hours Comply with Our Code, all RBS policies, How we manage RBS, and deliver against all relevant statutory, regulatory, supervisory and legal obligations Proactive identification and effective management and/or escalation of conduct risk to deliver key customer outcomes Executing the risk and control mechanisms for the business , independently overseeing and challenging effective management of risks and controls within agreed risk appetites Provide support, advice, management information and escalation to leaders and the business on risk management. The Skills That You Need Masters in quantitative disciplines such as Economics/Maths/statistics/Operations Research or MBA or B.
