Job Details

This established Manufacturing and Production business within the local Peterborough market are in need of an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their expanding business. Within this role the Accounts Payable Clerk will have responsibility over the general ledger, ensuring its timely and accurate processing.

An established Peterborough business who are able to provide a driven and energetic working environment in which the Purchase Ledger Clerk will be able to grow and develop. Sitting in the Manufacturing and Production sector the role will sit within an experienced finance team as well as excellent facilities.

Description

The Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the improvement of systems and internal processes
  • Processing, scanning, validating and retrieving of invoices
  • Inputting of supplier invoices manually as and when required and checking and verification
  • Dealing with and resolving supplier queries as and when they arise
  • Checking payment runs for suppliers on the relevant payment dates and ensuring payment terms are adhered to
  • Managing supplier accounts by reconciling with statements
  • Setting up new, or amending, supplier accounts as requested by managers
  • General administration duties including receiving and distributing post accordingly and Reception and switchboard cover when necessary

Profile

The successful candidate for the Purchase Ledger Clerk will be:

  • Ideally actively pursuing their AAT qualification
  • Strong user of Excel, confident in handling large amounts of data
  • Confident in working closely with senior stakeholders internally
  • Experience in the Manufacturing and Production sector would be advantageous
