Our client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their Finance team based in Cowley, Oxford.

Description

The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for:

• Reconciling group bank accounts - monitoring transactions, creating journals and adjustments as required to balance the accounts

• Reconciling control accounts

• Processing invoices for payment

• Process monthly staff expenses for inclusion in the monthly payroll

• Reconcile business credit card expenses - chase missing invoices/receipts

• Set-up weekly/monthly pay runs

• Adhoc administration as required, including contacting suppliers regarding invoices and setting up credit accounts

• Support to other members of the accounts team

• Daily bank reconciliations

• Investigating discrepancies on accounts

Profile

The successful Accounts Assistant will have:

• Strong administrative, accounts and organisational skills
• Be studying AAT
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
• A strong work ethic and a self-motivated attitude
• An ability to remain calm under pressure and a willingness to learn
• Experience with the accounts software Quickbooks would be beneficial but is not essential as full training will be given.

Job Offer

The salary on offer is between £22,000 and £25,000 dependent upon experience and qualification.
