An opportunity has arisen for an accomplished finance professional to assume a high profile Financial Controller role within the head office function of an exciting media group. Responsible for the Nordics and reporting into a European Head of Finance, this is a broad role accountable for accurate accounting, strong internal controls, clear and timely reporting and bringing a new level of understanding and accuracy to cash-flow analysis across the region. CANDIDATES WILL IDEALLY SPEAK FLUENT DANISH Responsibilities will include: Ensure accounting entries and revenue recognition are in compliance with Group Accounting Policies and local GAAP Oversee the reporting of the month end accounts across the Nordics Drive completion of monthly cash to EBITDA reconciliations and align w/Treasury Conduct month-end reviews of financial performance of all entities Candidates must have good working knowledge of US and local GAAP and be qualified accountants. Whilst media sector is not essential, Danish language skills will be looked upon favourably. Candidates will have experience of managing a team (this role has four direct reports) and a positive, proactive, practical attitude.
