A Cambridge business that has seen tremendous growth over the past few years currently seek a permanent stand alone Financial Controller. This position will be instrumental in the continued expansion of the company. This successful candidate will responsible for the day to day financial tasks through to the month and year end accounts duties. There will also be line management requirements within this role. This is a very exciting opportunity for someone to take charge of the entire accounting process of the business including general bookkeeping tasks aswell as more advanced, senior finance tasks. The main duties of the role are as follows: Transactional Processing Journal entries Intrastat and EC sales list reporting Payroll Pension management Overseas payroll management Banking tasks VAT: returns Arrange currency trades, look at forward buying where appropriate Budgeting and Forecasting Cashflow reporting Cost and variance analysis Reporting P&L management Balance Sheet reconciliation's Month and Year end accounts preparation This role requires a qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent candidate. Ideally candidates will be commercially minded, have experience of cost analysis, implementing and streamlining new processes aswell as being a good people manager. Candidates must have a keen eye for detail, organised, methodical and able to multitask. Successful applicants must have good experience of Microsoft office and advanced excel skills
