We are currently working with a leading Energy company who are looking to hire a Group IT Manager for a senior leadership role. The firm is a highly respected, and well established name in the Energy sector with a global reputation of excellence & success within the Oil & Gas exploration space. They are now looking for an experienced IT Manager who will lead and design the execution of the business-aligned IT strategy at group level. The role requires someone with first-rate stakeholder management skills who can engage and influence senior stakeholders (including the Board) on the impact of the IT Strategy on the business' strategic goals. Key responsibilities will cover Strategic Leadership and IT Portfolio Delivery, and will include; Design, deliver, implement and maintain the required IT Governance, compliance, and security approach that reflects the global business model, whilst meeting audit & regulatory requirements. Pre-empt ongoing business requirements in the development and execution of the IT Strategy so delivery is rapid, whilst adhering to best practice. Build and nurture strong working relationships with the firms business leaders, to help gain support & sponsorship for new IT initiatives. Design, develop, manage and maintain the life-cycle of all the IT Platforms, and associates end-user solutions. Deliver these as a service to the business and measure against key service delivery targets. Lead and deliver the Group standardisation if all IT processes related to applications, performance monitoring and analysis, change management, capacity planning, information science etc. Lead the implementation and adoption of industry standards and development methodologies such as Agile and DevOps. The ideal candidate should have the following experience; Experienced IT Leader with the ability to engage senior stakeholders to board level. Working experience in the Oil & Gas sector is a must-have for this role. Expert in driving Change and Governance within an IT environment. Successful leader of people who inspires others, and whose authentic style creates follower-ship. Sound knowledge of multi-country legislation and standards as well as global procurement and RFP processes and tenders.
