Duties for Assistant Accountant: Maintaining responsibility for Group Credit Control. Requesting purchase orders from clients to enable invoicing, raising client invoices in a timely manner. Update internal accounting spreadsheets weekly. Answering the telephone and working with customers to effectively and efficiently resolve queries. Efficiently manage the debtor ledgers ensuring high accuracy. Resolve any invoice discrepancies. Distributing client statements on a weekly basis. Assist in month end duties such as timesheet analysis. Maintaining responsibility for Group Purchase Ledger. Processing purchase invoices in a timely manner. Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies. Compiling weekly/monthly suggested payment runs. Participate in any ad hoc activities in line with business requirements.
