The Company is a very successful accountancy practice, with 2 offices and 40 staff, which has grown from inception 12 years ago to a client base of more than 1500. The practice has a reputation for excellent customer service. The Position is permanent and full or part time. We are looking for an accountant to be part of our lively and friendly team in Stony Stratford. Responsibilities, which utilise various accounting systems including XERO, IRIS, Sage and Quickbooks, are:- Preparation of Accounts Tax Returns Maintenance of client database Client meetings to present accounts & tax returns General accountancy and tax advice to clients The ideal candidate will be ACCA/ACA qualified, or part-qualified, currently working in a UK based practice, with in depth knowledge and experience in accounting for small to medium sized businesses. An excellent working knowledge of XERO & IRIS is desirable. They should be conscientious and self-motivated, with strong customer service and communication skills, and ability to demonstrate excellent attention to detail. The successful applicant will join a practice with an established local client base and strong links with the community. There is considerable IT investment and utilisation of cloud-based and leading-edge accounting systems. The practice has a track record for excellence and superb levels of client and staff retention. The atmosphere is friendly and supportive. The appointed applicant will help to develop a portfolio of small to medium sized businesses and be required to lead and motivate team members. Contribution to personal and technical development in the practice will be expected. Applicants will be interviewed in person as soon as can be arranged.
