£75,000 - £90,000 Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm My client are a dynamic, energetic forwarding business now in their 10th year of trading and having experienced significant and continued growth throughout this time as a division of a much larger organisation they are now seeking a Financial Controller as they continue their growth and become a fully independent operation. Headquartered in the South East with their own office in China and representation in the US & Middle East they are well versed in creating success both from a sales and operational perspective. As they achieve independence from their parent company, they are now going to need an individual to manage the entirety of their finance department. They envisage this new department, currently a team of 4, will continue to grow in line with the needs of the business. Their turnover for 2019 will be somewhere in the region of £85million with approximately 1000-1500 invoices raised to their client base each month. We are looking for someone that will revel in the challenge and has the seniority/experience to be able to guide and advise the board on financial matters, but is also prepared to get involved in all aspects of the operation, whether this be forward buying currency, supervising the flow of funds or sharing commercial thoughts as to how they could improve efficiencies. You will need strong commercial knowledge, entrepreneurial spirit and a successful record of managing a finance function (experience of freight forwarding would certainly be advantageous but is not essential) within an organisation with similar levels of activity. Ideally you will live fairly locally and be at a point in your career where you are looking to continue to progress with an organisation that have hugely high aspirations, ambition and drive.
