Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a prestigious and well-established business in Sheffield as they look to recruit a Cost Accountant/ Operations Business partner for their group of companies. The purpose of the Cost Accounting role is to provide an added value service to the operations of the business to help understand the operational and production costs of the business in order to maximise profitability. You will have responsibility for the costing, budgeting and forecasting, as well as understanding any variances which need to be reported accurately and timely to both non-financial and financial stakeholders. You will work closely with the Senior Management Team to drive efficiencies, as well as monitor and improve operational performance. Duties & Responsibilities will include:- Provide costings for new products and any new service provisions for clients, including bespoke projects Maintenance and review of standard costs Business partnering with operational teams to understand costs Analysis of actual costs vs budget/ forecasts with monthly review Assist with the production of Monthly Management Accounts Responsible for the preparation of Budgets and Forecasts Attend and participate in monthly management meetings Month end WIP Analysis Calculation of labour and overhead rates Assessing internal controls and constantly look to improve efficiency's and processes To be successful for this role you MUST have the following skills and attributes:- Ideally CIMA or ACCA Qualified, but Qualified by Experience candidates will also be considered Manufacturing experience/costing experience Management accounting experience covering budgeting, forecasting, reporting and variance analysis Confident at dealing with senior stakeholders Strong communication skills This will be a varied and heavily operationally focused role which will allow the successful individual to have real autonomy and will be able to influence future business decisions.
