Connect Appointments have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join our global Client based in the Falkirk area on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role will provide support to the finance department through the production of accurate, reliable and clearly presented financial information. Duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant include; Preparing monthly management accounts information. Analysis of variances between actual and forecasted revenue & costs. Working closely with stakeholders across the business. Maintain accurate balance sheet and fixed asset reconciliations. Prepare monthly cost centre reports. Act as initial point of contact with cost centre managers. Maintain accurate accruals & prepayments schedule. Preparing and posting journals. Prepare monthly billing schedule and raise invoices in a timely manner. Ownership and reconciliation of all Credit Card transactions. Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process. All other tasks as reasonably required. Candidate Specification; Working towards professional finance qualification and/or qualified by experience. Experience of delivering accounting month end reporting cycle. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to manage & prioritise own workload to achieve set deadlines. Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team. Excellent financial problem solving and analytical skills. Knowledge of Excel and experience of financial systems.
