Accountant Basildon To work in partnership with the Functions providing support to deliver the overall Land and Naval aims and objectives. Ensuring robust management information is available for decision making, strictly adhering to reporting deadlines. This is mainly office based role using display screen equipment. The successful candidate will be expected to work full time hours in a flexible and often demanding environment with tight deadlines. Occasional travel including driving may be required. Key Responsibility Areas Responsible for the production of high quality Land and Naval Divisional management accounts Working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing & Supply Chain Functions to review actuals and produce forecasts. Ensure a good understanding of the cost base for functions including actual, forecast, budget and risks & opportunities. Ensure of a good understanding of headcount and labour utilisation drivers. Liaise with local cost centre managers for overhead cost control. Periodically upload forecast to SAP as and when required. Ensure SAP is updated monthly for key cost areas, including month end accruals and prepayments. Other adhoc reporting as required by the Management Accountant Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required Part qualified or finalist- ACCA/CIMA. Excellent communication and influencing skills Previous business partnering experience an advantage Numerate, good MS Office skills, particularly Excel (Functions). SAP experience an advantage.
