Key responsibilities of role: To be responsible for the integrity, accuracy, delivery and reconciliation of M&G Prudential Investment Asset Reporting. To develop strong working relationships with external data suppliers and key users of the data including TPAs and M&G Pru Accountants, Actuaries and Reporting Teams. To drive improvements and process efficiencies within the end-to-end data management process. To lead, develop and train the team, with a focus to improve risk management and controls within the area. Evaluate and monitor collective performance to ensure your team is delivering in support of the strategic priorities of the business. Produce operational plans and commercially manage costs. Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of life and pensions products, markets and competitors and ideally some knowledge of M&G Prudential's products and services. Good knowledge of financial services regulatory and legislative frameworks relevant to UK investment and savings organisations (essential). Expert written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to communicate to a range of stakeholders Detailed knowledge of Investment Asset Data management, processing disclosures and accounting practices Detailed knowledge of key controls and investment asset reconciliations Detailed working knowledge of IFRS Reporting and Solvency II Working knowledge of managed services and outsourcing practices and processes. Experience: Experience of leading teams in a Life Assurance and/or Investment Management organisation. Experience of working in a function that is partially outsourced - working in partnership with TPSs to deliver a joined up service for internal customers. Significant experience of working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders with the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes. Extensive experience of operating as an agent for change in a complex and dynamic environment. Experience of Risk identification and assessment work in a financial services context Experience of coaching and developing others in a continuous improvement environment Personal attribute/skills: Take an active lead in helping each person in your team perform to their best and understand how their work contributes to the achievement of business success Proven ability to effectively challenge and influence business stakeholders Pragmatic, with good judgement and commercial acumen. Very strong analytical and problem solving skills but also adept at 'Big Picture' thinking Qualifications: Relevant professional qualification (i.e. Accountant) or equivalent professional body with significant post qualification experience.
