A global, independent oil and gas company are looking for a Treasury Assistant to join their wider finance department. Reporting to the Head of Group Treasury, you will be responsible for: Treasury Maintaining good relationships with internal and external parties in a professional manner Reconciling the Group's bank balances on a daily basis and ensure funds are available for payments in the right account and in the right currency Inputting treasury payments in bank system Organising payment authorisations depending on people's availability to ensure payment Checking and getting trade confirmations signed and sent back to banks Paying and repaying intercompany loans on time as per agreed payment schedules Preparation of a consolidated weekly bank report with explanations for movements Downloading bank statements using a number of banking software systems where necessary Providing treasury information to the management accounting team Assisting in the administration of the banking systems Assisting on special projects as required Acting as a point of contact for external and internal queries Accountancy and reporting Inputting treasury transactions in the accounting system Ensuring traceability of back up documentation to payments Investigating and resolving issues, problems and differences Participating in monthly, quarterly and yearly closing of the treasury companies Ad hoc reporting and assistance Any other duties in line with the role and/or as requested by management. Skills and Experience BA/BSc in Finance, Mathematics, Economics or Business preferred Advanced Excel (at a minimum comfortable with vlookup, sumifs, pivots and more functions) Interest in Financial Products Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work with autonomy Self-motivated Ability to control and review their own work Great attention to detail Ability to prioritise their workload and deliver in a timely manner Excellent analytical and organisational skills If you are a pro-active and self sufficient recent grad who is looking for their first role then apply today
