AJ Chambers are pleased to be partnered with a Top 30 Accountancy Practice based in London, with a fast growing VAT Team this firm is seeking a VAT Assistant Manager to join and supervise of a team of VAT professionals. The role will offer fast track opportunities to Senior Manager level along with a competitive salary and benefits package. Duties:
• Continuous review of UK indirect tax developments to identify risks and opportunities for the business
• Advising the business on VAT impacts of new legislation including Brexit implications
• Providing technical review of VAT advice of other team members
• Proactively engaging with key stakeholders to identify areas where indirect tax advisory support is required
• Managing relationships with senior members of the business
• Resolving queries from HMRC
• In depth research on technical VAT queries
• The typical sectors of the VAT clients are as follows: Property and construction, Charities, Large manufacturers operating in the UK and overseas, Telecoms providers, Digital services providers, Education providers, Academies, Universities, Tour operators, Auctioneers, Health providers Profile:
• Ideally CTA qualified
• An assertive and confident communicator
• An effective team leader, producing reliable results and commanding respect from the team
• Strong IT skills
• Great commercial awareness with the ability to capitalise on opportunities
• Pro-active identification of opportunities to refer clients to PB specialists
