We are recruiting on behalf of an innovative Accountancy Practice who are seeking an immediately available Bookkeeper to join their VAT/Bookkeeper team. Offer a comprehensive Bookkeeping service including VAT returns, you will support the Directors of their SME's clients to ensure VAT returns are completed in a timely manner and filed on time. Duties will include: Using a variety of software packages, Xero, SAGE, Quickbooks Bank entries (manual and via Bank feeds) and reconciliations. Sales/Purchase ledger invoice entry, matching and Debtor/Creditor account reconciliations. Cash transactions and reconciliations. Journal entries. Preparation and completion of VAT Returns. Knowledge of VAT schemes: Standard, Accrual or Cash basis, Flat Rate, Partial Exemption. EC Sales lists. Liaise with clients to resolves queries and obtained approval for online submission. Dealing with financial paperwork and filing. This role offers a varied role and the ability to work closely with clients.
