The International Business Financing (IBF) team is part of the broader Global Business Financing (GBF) Product Management team, and operates as a Fintech within the American Express Global Commercial Services business. IBF is a major strategic investment for the Blue Box and our team is planning on launching a suite of innovative, non-card lending solutions for small and mid-sized businesses in international markets. GBF products include Business Loans, Merchant Financing, Working Capital Terms and Early Pay. The Data & Reporting Product Analyst will partner with the product owners and development team for gathering requirements, building and testing business intelligence solutions and features. We are looking for an analytical thinker who will serve as the primary reporting liaison and point of contact between the Product Owner and key cross functional team members including finance and controllership. Responsibilities:
Own the end to end reporting process for international business financing and other global business financing products Design, build, and deploy the appropriate analytics/reporting to multiple stakeholders (internal and external) Operationalise the regulatory/compliance reporting requirements of business financing products including distributing that information to various internal process, systems and stakeholders Provide reporting subject matter expertise for international & global business financing product teams Participate in the reporting feature development process - contribute recommendations for data/reporting enhancements as part of tech road map/backlog Working closely with GBF teams to adopt reporting/analytical best practice from the US products to our international products Offer of employment with American Express is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background verification check, subject to applicable laws and regulations. Qualifications Experience with data analysis tools; Advanced Excel, SQL and Python/SAS Experience in building macros Coding/analytical experience ideal Experience working with global teams, demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, excel in a complex fast paced, team-oriented environment with rapidly evolving business demands while maintaining high standards of personal excellence/integrity Self starter with strong problem-solving skills leveraging data, intuition and business acumen Interest in B2B payments Demonstrate a growth mindset that embraces change, process efficiency and improvements Experience in Financial Analysis and reporting function Hands on experience with reporting tools eg Tableau is highly desired Proven ability to communicate effectively (oral & written) to audiences with varied backgrounds including formal communication updates to stakeholders and partners Why American Express?
