Morgan Hunt are working with a North London Council and we are searching for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join them on an interim basis. The successful candidate will commission packages of care from internal and external providers for individuals on a support plan and ensure that the service is providing service users value for money and the ideal candidate will have experience working in a social care or health environment and will be understanding and responsive to customer needs and feel confident providing advice. In order to be immediately effective in this position of purchase ledger, the ideal candidate will have previous experience with: The procurement of goods online, as required and within budget. Understanding needs of customers and being able build relationships with the client's service users and providers. Brokerage and able to negotiate. Working in a social care or health setting. Key responsibilities include: Register service users, checking validity and ensure appropriate fees or charges are applied. Some supervisory responsibility when required. To work with and support the team in delivery of service. The development, maintenance and implementation of systems that ensure the service delivers to customer needs and identify any difficulties that may prevent users from accessing the service To be able to monitor and procure goods and services online, as required by the service.
