What you'll be doingIn this role you will be a senior member of the Global Reporting Team, based in the Bupa Head Office (Angel Court at Bank, London). You would manage a team of direct reports and is responsible for Bupa Group's timely and accurate Solvency II quantitative and qualitative reporting. In addition to this you will have an opportunity to shape the future of Bupa' Solvency II reporting processes and output in line with market best practice.What's a typical day?You will be responsible for the delivery of the Group's Solvency II Quarterly and Annual Quantitative Reporting Templates (QRTs) in accordance of EIOPA and PRA requirements. You would take ownership of the Group's Own Funds calculation (quarterly, annual, ad-hoc) and underlying methodology. You will have oversight of the related reporting timetables and stakeholder handoffs from instructions through to senior governance and PRA submission (supported by the financial reporting close manager). Maintaining process and control documentation framework in line with Solvency II requirements and internal policy would be also part of the role. You would be responsible for identifying and implementing improvements and accelerations in the reporting processes, feeding into a broader strategic programme taking place across the Group's financial reporting processes.Who we're looking for?Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA) ideally from a Big 4 backgroundSolvency II reporting (QRTs, SFCR and RSR) experience.Experience of managing team members in a reporting environment.Experience of coordinating and delivering large processes with multiple stakeholders through sound planning and stakeholder management.Excellent written communication skills with the ability to concisely explain complex financial reporting matters and Solvency position analytics in a language which is suitable for senior management and public disclosure as required.Ability to interact comfortably with senior stakeholders in a visible role.Ability to work and manage effectively under pressure, managing conflicting tasks, senior demands and deadlines.Ability to pro-actively interpret and implement detailed accounting, regulatory and reporting guidance.Experience of working with financial systems (especially Tagetik) an advantage.Group reporting experience in a large group is preferred.Though we're looking for the above, if you feel you have the necessary experience, we'd still like to hear from you.What's it like to work here?As you'll already know, we want people to 'love working here', so much so that's it's at the top of our agenda and something you'll hear a lot about here at Bupa.
