Group Finance Controller £80,000 per annum Essex The Opportunity: This is a newly created role to join a private equity-backed business services company who are about to embark on a period of rapid growth, consolidating a fragmented sector via M&A. This is a great opportunity for an autonomous Finance Controller to create a best in class finance function. Following recent investment, they are seeking a Group Finance Controller in a newly created role, to support a period of organic and acquisitional growth. This role will be responsible for implementing scalable financial controls and processes, implementing systems, supporting M&A transactions and integrations. What you will be doing: Management of finance team Ensuring accurate, complete and comprehensive financial records across the group Development and maintenance of finance systems Development and maintenance of financial processes, including timely invoicing and debtor collection Development and maintenance of accounting policies, standard operating procedures and daily/weekly/monthly tasks Management of year end processes, delivery of year end statutory accounts, management of external audit Timely reporting of detailed financial information and management data Creating integrated P&L, balance sheet and cashflow forecast model Managing rolling cash flow forecast Developing and monitoring annual budgets and financial forecasts Ensuring financial regulatory compliance across the group About you: ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA qualified (or equivalent) Experience of running a finance team, either as FC in a smaller business or Assistant / Deputy FC in a larger business Demonstrable ability to manage, review and improve day to day finance operations and processes Experience of deploying / configuring / redesigning finance systems, including data reporting Ideally experience of private equity shareholders and debt funding
