Organisation Description Based in Hatfield my client develops and markets innovative, high quality medicines throughout the world. Working across the spectrum of pharmaceuticals and consumer health, chemicals and food additives, production systems and equipment, this is a human healthcare company that actively participates with, and contributes to, any healthcare system. The company is now looking for a Pricing & Commercial Manager to join their base here in the UK. The main purpose of the role is to maintain the ethical operation of European Pricing Policy. To be able to maintain all Pricing Strategies whilst also maximising the ROI. Duties of the position -
• Assess and report on the Profitability of presentations against Standard Cost of goods
• Ensure compliance with internal and external pricing procedures and regulations
• Provide input into the strategic development of Regional Pricing Policy to maximise the Return on Investment of the "Brand".
• Provide commercial input into Pricing Approval applications.
• Provide input into pricing for Hospital tenders.
• Provide input into the maintenance and development of Commercial Strategies.
• Review all proposals sent in by the Heads of Market Access / Business Unit Heads for changes to the price of Pharmaceuticals and to make recommendations to the CEO and CFO regard approval / rejection / further action to be taken. as per the Product Price Approval SOP
• Provide support for the EMEA Affiliates when making price applications.
• Collation and secure dissemination of EMEA pricing information to and from the Affiliates.
• Collation and secure dissemination of EMEA pricing information to and from the Global Regulatory Affairs Group.
• Collation and secure dissemination of EMEA pricing information to and from Business partners/co promotors. Person Specification Requirements for this role are -
• Demonstrated relevant experience in the Pharmaceutical industry (Pricing or Commercial Management/ Roles in a European Affiliate)
• Knowledge of strategy development and implementation
• Knowledge of International pricing and price reference systems
• Knowledge of EU Commercial and Competition Law
• Experience of developing and implementing Pricing and Commercial Strategies in targeted Customer groups
• Experience of being able to work successfully and productively in cross-functional teams
• Understanding of Supply Chain planning and management
• Analytical aptitude to identify problems, opportunities, threats and trends and apply an efficient methodical approach when formatting a solution plan (problem solving)
• Attention to detail
• Efficiently allocate time for completion of given tasks whilst fully utilising resources available (planning & organisation)
• Commercial awareness
• Negotiation skills
• Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal & written)
