The Business We're looking for a Business Banking Credit Risk Manager to join us in Edinburgh We're looking for a passionate and driven professional to join the Business Banking Credit Risk team If you have a risk or analytical background with knowledge of lending products then this role could be ideal for you What you'll do You'll be responsible for supporting the unsecured credit risk strategy, including the identification, measurement and monitoring of credit losses across the portfolios. As such, you'll consider the impact of the economic outlook, external environment and market insights across RBS portfolios. The work you do will influence the lending strategy and customer journey by providing credit risk oversight, and through effective stakeholder management. You'll also provide effective oversight of unsecured lending portfolios to underpin strong customer franchises, earning sustainable risk adjusted profits within the RBS and franchise level risk appetite. As well as this, you'll: Provide proactive insights into trends, identifying issues, and assessing threats and opportunities across the portfolio Challenge portfolio performance, in addition to business initiatives Challenge accepted practices and drive change to ensure continuous improvement and capability enhancements Analyse portfolio trends, preparing ad hoc reviews as required Contribute to key risk papers, including board level reports The skills you'll need We're looking for someone with strong stakeholder management skills, and a sound knowledge of credit risk regulatory requirements. You'll also need: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex issues and technical information to a senior audience Experience with SAS and SQL or other coding languages An analytical and enquiring mind, with the ability to develop a range of options and communicate them in an engaging and compelling manner Experience producing senior committee level reports, including interpreting and challenging credit risk and financial data How we'll reward you In return, we offer a competitive salary and you'll also join our retirement savings plan.
