We are seeking a recent Graduate with a minimum of a 2.1 in either a finance / accounting or numerical / business based subject. Applicants must also have achieved a minimum of 3 A - Level's, ideally at grade B or above. Practical accountancy or commercial / analytical experience from a placement year or internship would be a distinct advantage. The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail, love figures, have intermediate Excel skills, great commercial acumen, business awareness and a real passion for delivery The Role Working within the Financial Planning & Analysis team the role will shadow last year's graduate whilst also benefiting from mentoring from the Senior Financial Analyst. The role will give exposure to various financial reporting and analysis duties which will aid in truly understanding how the business runs from a commercial perspective. Duties will include daily/weekly/monthly reporting on various aspects of the business: sales, labour & other costs to the business, involvement in month end reporting and analysis and supporting with ad-hoc tasks and projects. The breath of the role will give an excellent foundation in understanding business dynamics and what drives performance in a fast moving retail environment. Key duties will include; Weekly and Monthly sales reporting; Assisting with Month End processes, analysis and reporting; Exposure to budgeting and forecasting; Variance analysis reporting and commentary; Presenting financial metrics and performance in operational meetings; Taking responsibility for various cost lines within the P&L.
