Role Overview This position is for an Experienced Financial Planning and Analysis professional. The FP&A Specialist executes financial analysis, research, budgets, and forecasts to support business plans and is responsible for developing analysis and projections and conducting small projects. Primary Responsibilities Complete financial analysis, research, budgets, and forecasts, to support business plans. Review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports, across value streams, to develop observations and preliminary recommendations. Develop P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis and projections. Perform analysis on budgets, forecasts, inventory, and / or sales margins. Provide interpretation of financial data in spreadsheets, charts, and reports. Audit financial practices to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws, regulations, and standards. Provide accounting and financial support such as ensuring revenue recognition compliance, journal entries, account reconciliations, Business Unit and Corporate Reporting. Conduct small-scale projects, completing ad hoc analysis, as directed and/or required. Create financial what if scenarios to further future business planning decisions. Perform annual EAC (Estimate at Completion) reviews of contracts, analyzing historical actual and forecasting remaining contract activity. Work with account managers reviewing current and new contracts to assess accounting accuracy and identify risks and opportunities. Basic Qualifications This position requires a Bachelors degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required. Relevant Experience Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 5 years business accounting experience OR Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 3 years business accounting experience Well-developed understanding GAAP Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and related products Preferred Qualifications 3 years dedicated financial analysis experience CPA or CPA candidate Previous SAP experience Previous Hyperion experience Previous Aerospace experience At Collins, the paths we pave together lead to limitless possibility.
