JOB DESCRIPTION Position Summary Key leadership role in the preparation, review and filing of the international income tax returns, including preparing tax packages and identifying transactions that have tax ramifications. Main Responsibilities Key leadership role in the preparation, review and filing of the federal/state/international income tax returns, including preparing tax packages and identifying transactions that have tax ramifications. Proactively research complex tax issues, and is proficient in interpreting and applying the tax law, regulations, and cases to specific transactions and factual situations. Key contributor in the review of the tax provision, analysis of tax accounts and reserves, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. This includes expert knowledge of FAS 109 tax accounting and other necessary FASB pronouncements, as well as internal control issues. Critical role in tax audits, including providing information and research findings. Major player in strategy development, as it relates to specific issues and positions in the tax returns. Apply highly advanced tax knowledge to support business needs. Considered an expert in the field and acts as an advisor to management. Contribute significantly to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards. Qualifications B.A./B.S. in Accounting/Finance required. CPA and/or MST a plus, but not required 8-12 years related experience beyond the degree or Masters plus related experience. Public Accounting or Fortune 500 Corporate Tax experience preferred.
