Job Details

An excellent opportunity for a forward thinking Accounts Clerk to join this growing Travel and Tourism business at a highly exciting time. Working from the Newmarket office, the Accounts Clerk will be primarily responsible for the smooth running of the purchase ledger and processing of invoices. The role will also entail assisting the senior team with month end processes and providing support with the credit control process.

An established business in the Travel and Tourism industry who have seen continuous growth in sector who are looking for an Accounts Clerk to assist with their continued development. The business are able to provide an excellent set of facilities at the Newmarket location alongside an energetic working atmosphere.

Description

The Accounts Clerk will be responsible for:

  • Ensure all purchase ledger invoices and employee expenses are processed
  • Ensure all supplier invoices are approved before processing
  • Resolve supplier queries
  • Reconcile key supplier accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Advice suppliers of forecast payment date
  • Providing support in the continued improvement in processes and systems
  • Support the supervisor with the month end duties and reports
  • Assisting with Credit Control

Profile

The successful candidate for the Accounts Clerk will be:

  • Actively looking to pursue their AAT qualification
  • Confident user of Excel; capable of handling large date sets
  • Proven track record within a previous Accounts Payable position
  • Confident in building relationships with senior internal stakeholders
  • Forward thinking and looking to develop their career
