Financial Accountant - Hitchin - £40k-£50k A European-listed multi-bn turnover business is currently recruiting for a technically savvy Financial Accountant to join the UK Finance team in Hitchin. A multi-branded Group, this role will have responsibility for managing group wide finances and the delivery of monthly management and financial accounts. The role has become available following an internal promotion, and is very much a development position, with a view to there being long-term progression opportunities and the chance to grow into other areas of the business. Responsibilities:
Delivery of month end accounts Submission of Group and Statutory reporting Management of regulatory reporting Taxation and legal calculations for UK businesses Implementation and management of internal controls systems Management of the balance sheet Mentoring the Accounts Assistant and guiding their development Fixed Assets, Stock, Payroll, Cost reviews etc. You will be a qualified (ACA/ACCA) accountant with a sound understanding of technical accounting principles and regulatory requirements. Some exposure to areas such as group reporting, consolidations, statutory accounting and accounting standards would be ideal.
