Job Company: A highly successful business in Sheffield are looking for a Head of Commercial Finance to join their senior leadership team on a permanent basis. They have a turnover over £100m and are part of a larger PLC. Their main client base are public sector organisations and they are looking for someone who has experience dealing with such organisations. Their mission statement is to constantly improve to be the best in their field. The Role: The Head of Commercial Finance will work alongside the Sales Director, Operational Director & Accounts Director together with the MD to drive the business forward in their ambitious growth target over the next 3 years. A high profile role for an experience Head of Commercial Finance with proven success in business partnering and step changing reporting/processes who can hit the ground running in an ever evolving, fast paced environment. Key responsibilities include: Responsible for leading the commercial finance function supporting, challenging, engaging with and reporting on the business to improve the commercial effectiveness and success of the organisation Responsible for strategic underpinning and operational delivery of the forecast Pro-actively identifying and engaging across the sales teams on large strategic deals and providing direction and support to maximise success on all major bids Highlighting key risks and opportunities to stakeholders to the forecast, proposing trading strategies and remedial action as required Development of a broad overview across the sales and commercial functions, providing insight around their performance, processes, systems and methodologies Maintaining and managing pricing methodology and models Providing commercial guidance, analysis and insight into all service lines and how they link to the business strategy Delivery of the sales business plan Developing strong relationships across a wide range of customer, suppliers and key internal stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, and Finance & Operations. Management of a small diverse team The Person: Professional Finance qualification - ACA, ACCA, CIMA, with a minimum of 5 years PQE Strong business facing commercial background with a proven track record of supporting and partnering senior management team Excellent communication skills coupled with experience of influencing a matrix management team Must be commercially astute, with a strategic approach, strong numeric and analytical skills Credible relationship builder, with a creative approach to problem solving Experience of working in a fast paced organisation, preferably from a contract driven environment Proactive, enthusiastic individual Strong IT skills including excellent Excel skills Must have experience working with not for profit & public sector organisations On offer: £60,000 - £75,000 £5k Car Allowance Bonus opportunity Flexible working and working from home Fast paced environment with opportunities to progress Corporate and Staff Benefits 25 days holiday which rises upon time years served at the organisation Ability to buy/sell holidays Pension Brewster Partners Recruitment Group focuses on the recruitment of talent in South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, East Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
