Systems Accountant Luton, Bedfordshire £35,000 - £45,000 (Depending on experience) Bonus Benefits Are you an experienced assistant accountant / accountant with strong systems / IT skills, looking to develop your career as a systems accountant? This role will act as the key link between Finance and IT department, ensuring that key Finance / Accounting systems are maintained and developed to support a large finance and accounting team which is growing The business is vibrant, fast paced and rapidly growing and the ideal candidate will be able to keep pace in a dynamic and changing environment. This role which reports to the Head of Finance and will be a key role within the finance department with excellent development potential. Key roles and responsibilities Updating the organisational hierarchy maintained with the main General Ledger system Running regular routine tasks at key times within the financial calendar, period ends, PO process, loading weekly sales using the web portal, Running and producing reports from the system for various users Training of other users and super users from different teams on the system functionality Making changes to security and capabilities for system users First point of support for system issues and resolution Work on development projects and enhancements to the system, including recommendations, input and testing Working closely with the IT departments and advising on system related impacts on developments and projects Setting up new companies within the system when there has been an acquisition and contributing to the integration of acquisitions Key attributes The successful applicant needs to have strong communication and system skills. They must be a team player and be willing to work in a flexible manner in response to the needs of the users of the finance system. Good organisational skills would be an advantage and attention to detail is very important. Experience on projects would be preferable but not essential.
