You might currently be in an accountancy practice or trained in a large company as a Financial Accountant with strong technical financial reporting skills - either route could lead you to this exciting career step. Reporting to the Group Accounting Manager you will be responsible for the accurate and timely financial reporting for a number of group companies and subsidiaries including statutory reporting to the latest FRS and IFRS standards. This will include: Collation of periodic P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow statements Year end statutory reporting for your entities including consolidation for group reporting Preparation of commentaries to support and explain financial results Preparation of quarterly forecasts and budgets for the group's property estate leases Supporting the group tax team with corporation tax analysis for your divisions Working collaboratively with corporate/ finance shared services to ensure accuratereporting within best practice / regulatory guidelines Making effective use of group IT systems (including SAP) Whilst you need to be technically proficient and experienced in the above, of equal importance will be your ability to communicate effectively and build relationships across the group so you must possess great interpersonal skills and enjoy getting away from the desk The business thrives because it continually strives to improve its processes and procedures - therefore a key requirement of this appointment is to engage someone who is driven and enthusiastic to better ways of doing things with efficient use of resources and IT systems.
