Our Client based in central Manchester are looking to appoint a Category Assistant to join their busy team on a 6month contract basis. Reporting to the Category Manager the successful Candidate will deliver Procurement service with a focus on the agreed service line - you will work across different categories such as facilities, procurements, marketing and health and safety. Daily duties will include:
• Liaise with Contractors and technical consultants daily
• Help to develop and implement contracts and Purchase Orders through agreed processes
• Work independently to ensure that appropriately PO's are in place in line with Procurement spend
• Monitor new Vendor set up
• Review spend and vendor performance
• Provide admin support to the Service line team You will be a highly motivated individual with a flexible approach to work as no 2 days will be the same.
