We are looking for an experienced, proactive commercial business analyst with a "can-do" attitude looking a for a simulating career move. We need a Commercial Analyst to support the Commercial team at our Head Office in Cheadle. You will work in partnership with the operational teams across the business, preparing estimates and cost analysis by gathering proposals, specifications, and related documents through to providing them with, cost and profitability support. The role: It's busy and it's varied; it's a job that will provide you with the opportunity to utilise your analytical and, equally important, business partnering skills. The role covers our UK business, estimating and analysing costs ensuring timely completion of quotes against tight SLA's and providing guidance whilst ensuring a greater understanding of the activity and financial outcomes. You will be assisting in Client rate card analysis and large-scale campaigns with a methodical and high attention to detail, as well as getting involved in new business opportunities and compliance. Commercial analytics is not just about producing the numbers; you need to see and tell the story the numbers are showing. You will be a key business partner with the client account teams in the business and at times be conducting presentations of your findings, giving accurate data and a clear 'financial' picture to your senior managers. The person: Experience in commercial finance and business partnering is essential. Ideally you would also have knowledge relevant to the business sector we operate in Marketing/ Agency/ Communications/ Print. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a desire and drive to find the underlying cause of issues and recommend and help implement solutions. You will need excellent IT skills, with an advanced knowledge of Excel and a willingness to learn new skills. You will need to be personable and comfortable liaising with colleagues at all levels. The candidate is required to have / be: Educated to degree level, possibly within a Mathematics or Numeracy discipline, or can demonstrate real hand on experience Advanced Excel skills are essential (e.g. array formulas, pivot tables) Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently with external and internal teams Estimating and cost analysis experience A proven background in successfully delivering a wide range of tenders Understand scope of work and managing bid pricing from all vendors Ensure timely completion of estimates and cost analysis Methodical and high attention to detail A continuous improvement mentality Confidence in learning new systems Living within commuting distance of Cheadle
