Finance Controller/ Accounts and Payroll Officer Stevenage Full time-Monday to Friday 8-4 or 9-5 Opportunity for Flexi working. £30000-£35000 pa. This is a multi faceted role ideal for an experienced Accounts Assistant. Working alongside a small team you will be a critical part of the Accounts and Payroll Implementation. Liaising with HR, Directors and other parties when needs be. Candidates should have experience of working in a similar role, ideally within a small business function and be able to liaise with finance and non-finance personnel and be comfortable dealing with both internal and external customers. You will need to have strong IT skills including MS Excel and be a proficient user of accountancy software, Revolution and XERO preferred. Role and

Payroll: Timesheet tracking Data entry Set up of payments HMRC reporting Use of XERO Both PAYE and Contractors payments. Purchase ledger: Processing and coding of invoices, matching with purchase orders and goods receipts Obtaining authorisation for payments Processing of expense claims Preparation of payment runs Reconciliation of supplier statements Reconciliation of credit card and bank statements Other duties: VAT returns preparation and filing EC Sales List preparation and filing VAT Intrastats and Reconciliation Preparing Nominal Schedules for Audits Using the bank internet banking software when required In addition to this there will be other ad-hoc office and finance-based duties as directed by the Director(s). Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will have a good work ethic and a can do attitude.
