As a result of recent growth, they are expanding the finance team to include a financial analyst to ensure the business knows it is meeting its objectives as it expands into new areas. They are looking for a talented analyst to join the management team. You will be responsible for research into our product lines to analyse the most profitable lines of business and identify new opportunities within the current business model. This is a new and exciting role working alongside a focussed management team which is pivotal to the success of the group. They need someone who will hit the ground running with the ability to adapt to a fast paced yet relaxed atmosphere. Main duties and responsibilities Quickly understand the business model and the products and services offered. Prepare and manage dashboard and key reports including financial MI showing trajectories of intended objectives. Assist the management team with in-depth financial analysis in a presentable format both monthly and quarterly. Assist in preparation of financial MI for board meetings and presentations. Act as the interface between the business and technical staff, specifically supporting the ongoing Software Development programme. As part of this you will be expected to analyse data, prepare, plan and support testing and assist with the transition to business as usual Analysis, data modelling and data visualisation are key to the role. Identify the most profitable lines of business over a set period. Provide the management with value-add insight. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and company operations improvement. . Candidate Profile CIMA or ACCA part qualified (otherwise by experience) Familiarity with budget, forecasting and P&L. Previous 2-3 years' experience in similar finance analyst role preferable. Strong decision-making and people skills. Experience in SQL is of benefit. Previous knowledge of insurance including loss ratios and triangulation would be a huge asset.
