You'll certainly feel proud when you see what you can achieve here. This is an exciting opportunity for a recently qualified Accountant to join as an integral part of the FP&A function. This role is pivotal to driving the accuracy of the Group reported numbers for Dixons Carphone. The role will review, analyse and challenge the submissions from the markets and produce the consolidated income statement, Balance Sheet and Cash flow for management reporting and statutory closes. As part of this role, you'll be responsible for: The review of all submissions within the Group and subsequent challenge to markets along with understanding and analysis of variances to PY and forecasts Producing the month end Actuals consolidation and relevant JLs ensuring results are delivered in accordance to the Group timetable Ensuring JLs are monitored on a monthly basis and pushed into the local market submissions when required Analysis of numbers (particularly non- headline PL, interest and CF lines) to ensure numbers are understood and challenged on a monthly basis Providing analysis of Group numbers on a monthly basis and supporting queries and slide production for the ExCo and Board Controlling and improving intercompany process Group wide Providing guidance to the markets on any accounting standard changes Producing primary statements and notes for the annual accounts and partner with the Investor Relations team to provide documents for City trading updates Working closely with the Head of Group FP&A, Head of UK Reporting and the International business counterparts to continuously improve reporting to support delivery of the Group strategy Working closely with the auditors at interim and year end to ensure all deliverables are met You will need: A strong academic background (to Degree level) A recognised Accounting Qualification (ACA/ ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)- this role would suit a recently qualified accountant Experience within a consumer/ retail setting is highly desirable Solid stakeholder management skills with an ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders Strong written and verbal communication skills - able to explain complex issues in a clear and transparent manner Strong Excel skills We're one team and we celebrate all of the great things you do.
