Based North of Cambridge and within easy reach of St Neots, Huntingdon and St Ives I am currently recruiting an experienced Senior Commercial Analyst for a newly created role. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the post holder will own modelling and analysis for all of the subsidiaries of the Group. This role sits within the Finance functions but operates across all areas of the group and has extensive contact with private equity owners. The role incumbent is required to analyse and understand the various business units in the Group. The post holder will build and develop financial models, manipulate large volumes of complex data, identify trends and profitability levers and report findings back to the business in a way that is easily understood by all. • Building financial and operational models for a variety of businesses in the group
• Modelling profitability optimisation
• Analysis/scenario modelling
• Analysis for budget packs

• Create accurate analytical and predictive models
• Create new reports which combine and summarise data from multiple data sources to generate meaningful information and knowledge
• Understand and interpret reports to generate insight regarding the performance of customer operations and share and present this information with a range of business stakeholders
• Automate the extraction of data and the production of reports, and configure the systems used to generate and present management information
• Set-up and maintain processes and infrastructure to deliver information effectively
• Fully document new and existing processes and reports to a high standard You will have previous experience of working in a finance, business or commercial analyst role with strong experience of improving data quality and efficiently manage extraction and manipulation of data. Ideally you will hold an accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) although this is not essential Please contact me to discuss in more detail
