Function Assist the Financial Controller to report and communicate all financial information relative to the EMEA business unit, working closely with the Financial Controller on all aspects of reporting and communication with GES UK and US on month end, quarter end and SOX compliance matters. Key activities and responsibilities
• Ensure accuracy of journal entries made by the GL Accountants and appropriate back up for journals are present.
• Work to ensure the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable team members ledgers are correct and update and support the business as needed.
• Review and complete month end reporting to the Financial Controller for US consolidation on working day four.Ensure intercompany balances agree working with the relevant teams as necessary.
• Manage responsibilities for timely completion of all tasks, 'get it right first time, on time'.
• Communicate closely with internal and external audit as required.
• Ensure accuracy and timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations including submission into Black line.
• Responsible for the close timetable accuracy and completion of and ensure accuracy of reporting, best process and practice is being upheld.
• Review SOX controls and ensure the correct controls are being adhered to.
• Responsible for external Statutory Accounts submissions.
• Ad hoc duties as required.
• Actively engage in continuous improvement ensuring suggestions and opportunities are highlighted to your line manager.
• Take a participative role in the Company's sustainability initiative and ensure where possible your actions support the achievement of this initiative; reuse, recycle and replenish.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety, corporate, client and legislative standards across the function Relationships You will be required to develop and maintain positive and progressive working relationships both internally and externally, in order to facilitate growth and integration across the business. Salary This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary, dependent on experience GES operate a reward strategy based on our workers receiving a salary that best reflects their experience and skill level. Hours of work A 37.5 hour week working Monday to Friday, typically between the hours of 8.30 - 5.00 (with one hour unpaid lunch). You may be required to work evenings and weekends during busy periods in order to meet the demands of the business, including overseas travel as required. Annual leave GES' holiday entitlement is 25 days per annum (plus bank holidays and statutory public holidays).
