About Trulawn Trulawn were formed in 2009 and have grown quickly to be one of the leading brands in the artificial grass sector. We supply & install landscaping artificial grass to the general public, schools & trade. Trulawn are based in Sandhurst and employ 40 staff. Purpose of the Financial Controller Overall responsibility for ALL finance related tasks. Making a key contribution to company strategy. You will be expected to allow sufficient time to complete strategic tasks whilst ensuring day to day operational tasks are still completed in a timely and efficient manner. Key Objective of the role: Make Trulawn more profitable and productive Person Specification Qualified member of ACCA, ACA or CIMA You will have the strength of character to challenge the owners assumptions Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision making The individual will be extremely well organised, have the ability to prioritise and calm under pressure Energetic, highly motivated, with a passion for excellence, and a natural tendency to identify areas for improvement Strong IT Skills Duties and Responsibilities 1. Overall control of finance department (Including 1 other member of staff) 2. Influence company strategy 3. Preparation of monthly management accts. 4. Preparation and filing of y/end accounts 5. Preparation of Customer Spend Reports 6. Manage Sales & Purchase Ledger 7. Payroll 8. Credit Control 9. Preparation of annual budget, monitoring and reviewing 10. Preparation of y/end accounts 11. Taxation Issues - Pay Directors Tax, Corporation Tax, Vat returns. 12. Budgets & Forecasting Strategic Tasks and Objectives 1. Profitability plan with aim of identifying tangible improvements 2. Plan and implement comprehensive Cost reduction initiative. 3. Work with senior teams to grow the business, formulating strategies and plans 4. Gain full understanding of our business model, Pricing Model , future strategy and produce report detailing quickest improvement initiatives 5. Develop & Implement a bonus scheme for management team that provides motivation for "managers" and is agreeable to directors 6. Support franchises with financial forecasting and projections
