The role supports the Commercial finance manager in all matters related to revenue (subscription, advertising and digital) and commercial projects across the UK joint venture channels and EMEA territories. You will be providing business insight and value through management reporting, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for effective business decision support. Key

responsibilities:
Management reporting and Finance control: Preparation of management reporting for all commercials areas Provide month end commentary/analysis of results with insight into variances and trends Provide monthly reporting on revenue drivers Ensure material accuracy of actuals, reviewing results at a detailed level and requesting accrual or other month end adjustments as required Exercise a strong financial control environment by working closely with the billing, commercial and legal teams. Advise on appropriate coding and revenue recognition Design and implement processes for an efficient month end Lead/own projects that relate to reporting - Medea interface, Power BI Financial Planning and Analysis: Prepare annual budgets and long-range plans by working closely with the commercial teams Take ownership for monthly forecasting and modelling for current financial year Provide variance analysis and commentary against budget, forecast and long-range plans for presentation to Directors, Senior Management, Group reporting and Board Year-end analytics and reporting for statutory, regulatory reporting and external audit Drive FP&A report improvements to deliver efficiency and enhanced presentation of data to support the business Business partnering and Commercial support: Modelling of channel partner deal renewals, working with the commercial sales teams during the negotiations and processing changes in a timely manner Support analysis and review of new business cases Assist with ad-hoc analysis to support the department's strategic decision-making such as revenue analysis by territory, profitability and scenario modelling Assist with post implementation review (PIR) of investment decisions, lessons learned and recommendation Requirements: Competent in the use of financial systems packages (general ledger (SAP), financial modelling systems (BPC)) and advanced knowledge of Excel Ability to work independently without constant oversight - Taking ownership Comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt to changing business needs Ability to link financial results and outcomes to operational and commercial trends Proven experience liaising and presenting to senior management Ability to communicate and influence across the business Good attention to detail About you: Qualified Accountant, 1 - 2 years PQE Willing to take initiative and go that extra mile You are keen to take ownership of the numbers and trusted to deputise commercial manager Excellent personal effectiveness and time management skills Work well under pressure with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail whilst meeting deadlines Analytically strong with the ability to challenge and think outside the box Possess an inquisitive mind, and be able to identify anomalies or inconsistencies and pursue these through to a resolution Excellent interpersonal skills and communication with a range of colleagues at varying levels of seniority Able to quickly establish credibility, winning the respect and co-operation of colleagues at all levels
