About the role We are looking for a Junior Credit Controller on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract to join our growing London office - we've just moved into a brand new WeWork office (plenty of comfy spaces for collaborative working, free fruit & breakfast, amazing views of London... and more). You will support the wider finance team at Blackbaud Europe ensuring the company meets its cash collection targets whilst providing an excellent customer service internally and externally. We're a lively bunch so you'll need bags of energy and a self-starter mentality. Within this unique and exciting role, you will be working across all our European trading entities, which include: Blackbaud Europe, JustGiving, EverydayHero and MyCharity. What you'll be doing Contacting customers by telephone and email, ensuring payments are made on time within agreed payment terms Process direct debits and follow up with the bank and customers for non-payment and failures Request customer refunds Demonstrate a customer service orientated approach to cash collections ensuring that both Internal and external customers are engaged regularly Address customer issues promptly Communicating regularly with the billing team, sales, account management and the wider business Escalate complex issues to the Senior Credit Controller/Accounting team leader What we need you to bring Good awareness and understanding of a credit control function within a business Evident ability to build relationships and service customers Target driven - you thrive on results and getting things done effectively to the highest standard Bags of energy, articulation and a desire to learn Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail Ability to follow a process and prioritise tasks Problem solver who enjoys looking at ways to continuously improve processes Willingness to learn and help other members of the finance team What we'd like to see Previous credit control experience is highly favourable A desire to pursue a career within a technology or tech-for-good company Experience using accounting software - we use SAP / NetSuite Why join us?
